McCoin, Physician: “I have carefully examined Hopkins Wheeler & find him totally unable to perform any kind of labor & is thoroughly indigent having sold his Land to [cut off in filming] upon which [cut off in filming] he is also Blind & Deaf & has a Diabetic trouble & has been unable to get out of the House for a long time. I further state that Hopkins Wheeler has not been able to get to Gainesboro but once or twice since the war his county seat a distance of 12 miles.
