J W CARTER ************************************** RANSOM DEAD Tip Ransom, who was shot last week by Jim Warren, an account of which appeared in this paper, died from the effect of his wound Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. he was about 30 old, a hardworking man of good reputation, and leaves a wife and three children. Jim Warren, his slayer, is only about 17 or 18 years of age, weighs about 110 pounds, dark swarthy complextion, black hair and eyes, no beard. he is still at large and it is thought that he is lurking about the neighborhood. He made threats that he would kill two or three others before leaving the country. the scene of the tragedy, in the 8th district, is considerably wrought up over the sad occurrence. It appears that bad feelings had existed between the men for some time. **************************************** We are turning out some very fine job printing these days. Robert -ittle, son of Gid H Lowe, fell and broke his arm last Saturday. Dr Fowler was called in to set the bones. He is doing as well as could be expected. (microfilm is bad on the first letter of Robert's last name). John P Murray, who has been here several months on a visit to the family of his father, G B Murray, returned to Lincoln, Neb, last week, to resume his position in the railroad business. **************************************************************
