The information is NOT to be SOLD!) FEDERAL COURT The following in Jackson county whiskey cases have been disposed of. Cull Huff, $500 fine; - M. Keith, two months and cost; James L Young and Boon Hesand each $100 fine and 60 days suspended on cost. ************************** LESLIE-HUFF Last Sunday afternoon at 8 o'clock Mr. Stone Leslie and Miss Huff were united in holy bonds of matrimony, at the home of the brides parents, near Granville, that night they were given a reception at the home of Mr Leslie's brother in White's Bend. A few of the boys tendered them a serenade. Among them were Messra Hogg, Sadler, A C and Cisco Forkum. Darwin, Johnson, Pate and several others, The boys were invited to partake of an excellent supper. ONE OF THE PARTY ************ MAYFIELD J M Judd, of Leon, is in Nashville this week buying new goods. Rev Hyram Pharris is holding a protracted meeting at Center Grove this week. Mrs. Isaac Pippin is still ver low with fever. Winters Mayberry will start for Pleasant Hill Sunday, where he will enter school. the Liberty school, under supervision of Nathan Montgomer, closed Friday ************************************** Mrs. Sissie York, wife of Thomas York, residing south of his place, died last Thursday morning of consumption. She was about 25 years of age, and leaves four small children. She was a daughter of Mrs. Emily Gipson, of Gainesboro, and was a lady most highly esteemed by all who knew her. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the Christian church by Esq W A Rash. Her remains were entered in the cemetery near by. The services were attended by a large crowd of sympathizing friends. ***************************************** Misses Ova Hogg, Eva Brown and Clifford Darwin, of White's Bend, and a select few of the young people on this side, engaged ina candy stew at Mr. Wilson's Thursday night. ***************************************** Rev Smith filled his appoinment at new Bethel Sunday. L Draper and family are making preparations to move to Kentucky. *********************************************
