NONRESIDENT NOTICE Nancy E. Huff vs Sam Huff in Circuit court of Jackson county Tennessee It appearing to me from the bill filed in this case which is sworn to that defendant Sam Huff is a nonresident of the State of Tennessee so that the ordinary process of law cannot be served on him, and upon motion of plaintiff by Attorney, it is ordered by me that publication be made in the Press a newspaper published in the town of Gainesboro, Jackson county, Tennessee, for four consecutive weeks commanding said nonresident Sam Huff to appear before the Judge of our circuit court at the court house in Gainesboro, tennessee the first Monday in Novemeber next and make defense to said complainants bill otherwise the same will be taken for confessed and the cause set down for hearing expartee as to him. Gore vs Elvira Poteet in the Circuit court at Gainesboro, Tennessee Pursuant to an order of call in the above styled case heretofore entered --will on. SATURDAY OCT. 31, 1896 at the court house door in the town of Gainesboro, Tenn. offer for sale to the highest bidder, on a credit of one and two years except 10 per cent. cash on day of sale, the following described lands, to wit: First tract lying on Sugar creek and what is known as Tick, in the 6th and 8th districts of Jackson county, containing about 1500 acres. Second tract lying between Roaring river and Blackburn's Fork, in the 9th district of Jackson county, containing about 300 acres. Said lands lie in strips or bodies in between other land owners and are known as a portion of the Gore 'wild lands.' A more particular description will be given on day of sale. Biddings will opened at $1 per acre, that being the minimum price fixed on the same. Notes with approved personal security bearing interest from date and ? On motion of complainants in the petition of Thomas Walker and it appearing to the Clerk & Master from complainants bill, which is sworn to that defendant, Hezekiah Way, is a resident of Missouri, and not a resident of Tennessee so that the ordinary process of law cannot be served upon him. It is ordered by the Clerk & Master that publication be made in the Gainesbor Press, a newspaper published in the town of Gainesboro, Tenn., for four consecutive weeks requiring the said defendant, Hezekiah Way, to make his appearance before the Clerk & Master at his office in Gainesboro, Tenn., on Monday, Nov 2, 1896, then and there to make defense to the petition of Thomas Walker et als., filed against him and others in this case or the same will be taken for confessed and the cause proceeded with exparte as to him.
