Jackson County sentinel, Wed, May 29, 1929
Cassetty, Lon a well known retired farmer of the East Fork section of this county,
died at one o'clock Wed. afternoon at the home of his son, Comer
Cassetty, at Edwnwold.  Death was due to heart disease from which he had
suffered a short time.  He was in his 80th year and was born and reared
in Jackson county.  surviving are two sons, Charles Cassetty, of
Haydenburg and Comer of Edenwold; one brother, M.G. Cassetty, of North
Springs and a sister, Mrs Bettie Williams of Post Oak, Texas.  Burial
was Thursday at 2 o'clock at the Minchey Graveyard with Rev. W.M. Dycus
in charge of the services.  Deceased was a Cumberland Presbyterian.  He
was the son of Sampson Cassetty who died years ago
