On Sept 18th 1926, the death angel claimed J.S. Draper of the 3rd district of the county. Age, 83 years and 13 days. In the fall of 1886, he accepted Christ as his Savior and joined the ? Church South. He was a soldier in the Civil War of 1860 to 1865 and served his country faithfully and died leaving but few of his comrades. On the 16th day of Oct. 1860, he was married to Almeda Huffines and he and his wife lived a happy life for 65 years and 11 months. He is survived by his widow and 6 children: H.C. Draper of Ky; Wm Kennedy of Cookville, A.Rufus and A.D. Draper; two girls, Miss Cora Draper and Mrs S.C. Price all living in the 3rd district of Jackson County.
