Holston River. (Written down the right hand side of page) Moses Ballinger to } Deed William Ballinger for 59 acres of land lying on South of Holston River Registered November 25th 1808. This Indenture made this twenty sixth of the twelfth month in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & seven between Moses Ballinger of Jefferson County and State of Tennessee of the one part and William Ballinger of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that he the said Moses Ballinger for & in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars, to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed, and by these presents doth bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said William Ballinger a certain tract or parcel of land. Containing Fifty Nine Acres be be(sic) the same more or less lying in Jefferson County aforesaid & situate on the South side of Holston River being part of the tract tract(sic) whereon said Moses now lives. Beginning at a black oak near the river being Prigmores corner run(n)ing thence down the river Sixty two poles to a Mulberry tree thence North eighty degrees east three hundred poles to a black Oak thence North four & a half poles to three dogwoods being Prigmores South east corner thence One Prigmore’s line North eighty nine degrees West two hundred & eighty four poles to the Beginning. Together with every right title priviledge & envolument to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining and the said Moses doth bind himself his heirs Executors & Administrators well & truly to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid premises, with all appurtenances, unto him the said William Ballinger his heirs & assigns forever from all lawful claims & incumbrances whatever in Witness whereof he the Moses hath hereunto set his hand & seal the (then day) & year above Written.
