Polly Box & Louiza Box to Aaron Ballenger Registered April 24th 1849. We Polly Box & Louisa Box have this day Bargained & sold & do hereby transfer and Convey to Aaron Ballinger and his heirs forever for the consideration of Sixty five dollars to us in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged a certain tract or parcel of land in the State of Tennessee Jefferson County and district No. 7 Containing by estimation fifty acres more or less and bounded as follows—Beginning at a White Oak near the road, thence West 100 poles to a Stake near a marked post Oak thence South 80 poles to a Stake near a post Oak, thence East 100 poles to a Stake thence North 80 poles to the beginning (being the place where Samuel Box deceased formerly lived & where Polly Box now lives) To have and to hold the same to the said Aaron Ballinger his heirs and assigns forever. We do Covenant with the said Aaron Ballinger that we are lawfully seized of said land have a good right to Convey it and the same is unencumbered we do further Covenant and bind ourselves our heirs and representatives to Warrant and forever defend the title to the said Land and every part thereof to the said Aaron Ballenger his heirs and assigns against the lawful Claims of All persons whatever this 12th day of Oct 1848. Was presented before me James Fuller Clerk of the County Court of Jefferson for probate and thereupon came W. Galbreath and B. F. McFarland the subscribing Witnesses thereto who being duly sworn depose and say that they are personally acquainted with Polly Box and Louiza Box the Bargainors and that they saw them sign seal and execute the same upon the day it bears date Witness my hand at office in Dandridge the 9th day of April A.D. 1849.
