Mahala Fielden Deed to Jackson Ballenger Registered December 16th 1850. This Indenture made and entered into this twenty third day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty between Jackson Ballenger of the one part and Mahala Fielden of the other part all of the County of Jefferson and State of Tennessee Witnesseth that the said Mahala Fielden for and in Consideration of the sum of fifteen Dollars to her in hand paid the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey and confirm unto the said Jackson Ballenger his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and Being in the County and State aforesaid and in the seventh School District being the portion of Land which she is entitled to as one of the heirs of James Fielden Deceased and the Land hereby conveyed is her undivided interest or share of a tract of Land owned by her father James Fielden supposed to be between two and three hundred acres adjoining the lands of James Nothern and Alferd Nothern, Thompson Butter and David Hayworth it being the same tract of Land on which the said Fielden lived on before his Death and on which he Died. With all and Singular the woods waters hereditaments and appurtenances to the said undivided Share or parcel of Land belonging to the said Mahala Fielden as heir of the said James Fielden Deceased. To have and to hold to the said Jackson Ballenger his heirs and assigns forever the said Mahala Fielden for herself her heirs Executors or administrators doth agree and covenant and by these presents doth bind herself that she will warrant and defend against all claims either in Law or Equity unto the said Jackson Ballenger his heirs and assigns forever In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal on the day it and year above written.
