Amanda M. Ballenger and A. J. Ballenger Deed to Lanty A. Brazelton Registered April the 26th day 1858 Know all men by these presents that We Amanda M. Ballenger and A. J. Ballenger her Husband of the one part and L. A. Brazelton the Father of Amanda M. of the other part, all of the County of Jefferson and State of Tennessee Witnesseth that the said Amanda M. Ballenger and Jackson Ballenger for the sum of Three hundred and fifty Dollars to them in hand paid. Doth Bargain, sell, and grant unto the said L. A. Brazelton all their right title interest claim and demand in and unto an undivided interest in a certain Tract or parcel of land, deeded to Mary Cox afterward Mary Brazelton the Mother of the Amanda M. Ballenger, by the last will and testament of her Father Dudley Cox, which undivided interest amounts to the one sixth part of said tract, it being and lying in the County of Jefferson and State of Tennessee and on the Waters of Mossy Creek and in the 9th Civil district, now for and in consideration of the sum paid to us as above specified, we will forever warrant and defend the title of the said Sixth share or interest against our selves our heirs and all other persons whatever unto the said L. A. Brazelton or his assigns forever either in law or equity In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 2nd April 1857. Attest B. F. McFarland Amanda M.
