William Brazelton Deed to William Ballenger For 35 Acres Registered October the 21st day 1858. This Indenture made and executed this 15th day of May 1858. Between Wm. Brazelton and William Ballenger both of the County of Jefferson State of Tennessee. Witnesseth that the said Wm. Brazelton for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Ballenger the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged. The said Brazelton hath and by these presents doth grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Ballenger a certain Tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Jefferson State of Tennessee on the South side of Holston River, in the 7th Civil district and being the same land on which the said Ballenger now lives Containing Thirty acres be the same more or less. Beginning on a Walnut the beginning of a survey some years since made by David Kimbrough running East one hundred and twenty poles to a Black Oak and hickory, Thence South forty poles to a white oak a corner to said Survey, Thence West one hundred and twenty poles, Thence a direct course to the beginning with all and singular the woods waters & appurtenances hereditaments thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the same and the said Brazelton hereby obligates and binds himself and his heirs & assigns that they will forever warrant and defend unto the said Wm. Ballenger his heirs and assigns the foregoing tract of land against the lawful title claim or demand of any person or persons whatever either in law or equity. In Witness whereof the said Wm. Brazelton the subscribing Witnesses to the within Deed after being first sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with Wm.
