State of Tennessee } Jefferson County } I William Ballenger of the County of Jefferson and State of Tennessee for the purpose of availing myself of the benefit of a Homestead in the County and State aforesaid do hereby by these presents declare my intention to have the same set apart in such manner as is presented by act of a assembly and notice of the same is hereby given to all whom it may concern and for the purpose of setting apart the same I have the following Tract of land on which I now live which contains 30 acres more or less lying in the 7th civil district of Jefferson County and adjoining the lands of George Smith, Anamus Hankins & others.
