Deed Margett Right to Aaron Ballenger Registered April 12th 1880. This Indenture made the 30 day of June 1880. Between Margett Right of the first part and Aaron Ballinger of the second part both of the County of Jefferson and State of Tennessee. Witnesseth that the Party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of ten dollars to her in hand paid by the party of the second part. The Receipt whereoff(sic) is hereby acknowledged, doth Bargain sell and convey unto Aaron Ballenger his heirs or assigns forever, a piece or parcel of of(sic) land lying and being in the County of Jefferson and State aforesaid adjoining the lands of Aaron Ballenger. Beginning on a white oak Stump and Rock. Thence North 80 East with Aaron Ballengers line 63 poles to a white oak. Thence South 60 East 4 poles to a white oak & Rock. Thence South 60 West 40 poles to a chestnut with the fence. Thence West 5 North 25 poles to the Beginning, containing two acres being the same more or less. To have and to hold the same to the said Aaron Ballenger and his heirs assigns forever. I covenant with the said Aaron Ballenger and his heirs that I am lawfully seized and possession of said land and have a good right to convey it and that the same is unincumbered and I fu(r)ther covenant and him myself and my heirs and assigns to forever warrant and defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said Aaron Ballenger his heirs and assigns against all the lawful claims of all persons whatever. Given under my hand and seal on this the 30th day of Jan 1880. Nicholson Clerk of the County Court of said County Elkanah Ballenger & Henry Ballenger subscribing wittnesses to the annexed instrument who after being duly sworn deposed and said that they are well acquainted with Margarett Right the Bargainor and that they were present and heard her acknowledge the due execution of the annexed deed to have been done by her for the purposes therein contained.
