Deed. Jackson Ballenger to Alexander Ballenger Registered Dec 11th 1888. This indenture made and entered into this 25th day of April 1887. Between Jackson Ballenger of the one part and Alexander Ballenger of the other part both parties of the County of Jefferson State of Tennessee. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Jackson Ballenger has this day bargained & sold and doth hereby transfer & convey unto the said Alexander Ballinger his heirs & assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land and it being all the undivided interest Mahala Fielden as one of the heirs of Jas. Fielden deceased had in & to the following described land and for a more particular description of said premises reference is here made to a deed Mahala Fielden made to the Jackson Ballinger which said deed is registered in Registers office Jefferson County Tenn. Dec 16th 1850 in Book No. 2 page 509. Said tract of land situate and being in the 7th civil district Jefferson Co. Tenn. Supposed to contain three hundred acres more or (less) & it being the tract of land upon which the late James Fielden deceased lived & owned in his life time. And bounded as follows on the North By Alfred Northern. On the South by the lands of Thomas Elmore & others on the west by James Notherns heirs & on the east by Nothern & Elmore with all & singular the woods waters and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said undivided interest of Mahala Fielden in said tract of land. To have and to hold to the said Alexander Ballinger his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Jackson Ballenger doth further covenant with the said Alexander Ballenger that he is lawfully seized & possessed of said undivided interest by purchase in said land and that he has a right to convey the same and that the same is unencumbered. And the said Jackson Ballenger doth further bind himself his heirs and assigns that he will forever warrant & defend the title to the said undivided interest in said tract of land to the said Alexander Ballenger his heirs & assigns against the lawfull(sic) claim or claims of all persons whomsoever.
