Deed. James T. Foster & wife to Aaron Ballenger Registered March 12th 1890. Know all men by these Presents. That we Jas. T. Foster and wife Mary O. Foster have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Aaron Ballenger & wife Sarah Balleng. (all of Jefferson County Tenn.) for and consideration of twenty five Dollars in hand paid as an exchange in which the said Aaron Ballenger & wife have this day executed to us a deed for a certain parcel of land lying in 13th district Jefferson Co. Tenn. Bounded as follows. Beginning at corner of Foster and Ballenger in road thence with the line between then S. 23 degrees W. 58 poles & 12 links to black oak corner of Foster & Ballenger thence S. 68 degrees E. 8 poles & 21 links with line between same parties to a planted rock 4 feet North East of a small white oak pointer. Thence N. 23 degrees E. 58 poles & 12 links to a planted rock in the road thence N. 69 degrees W. 8 poles & 21 links to the beginning containing three acres & 37 poles to have & to hold the same to the said Aaron Ballenger & wife Sarah Ballenger their heirs & assigns forever we further covenant and bind ourselves heirs & legal representatives to forever warrant & defend the title to the above described parcel of land to the said Aaron Ballenger & wife Sarah against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. Foster with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the annexed instrument for the purposes therein contained. And Mary Orlena Foster wife of the said James T. Foster having appeared before me privately & apart from her husband acknowledged that she executed the annexed instrument freely voluntarily and understandingly without compulsion or constraint on the part of her said husband and for the purposes therein contained.
