This indenture made this ninth day of July one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between Samuel Jacobs of the County of Jefferson and state of Tennessee of the one part and Thomas Jacobs of the County and state aforesaid of the other part - Witnesseth that the said Samuel Jacobs for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receit - whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell, aline and confirm unto the said Thomas Jacobs his heirs and assignes forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres lying and being in the County of Jefferson on the north side of French Broad River and bounded as follows, it being a part of two tracts of land granted by the State of Tennessee to John Jacobs by grant No 1959 and No 1958 and by said John Jacobs to Samuel Jacobs and by Samuel Jacobs to Thomas Jacobs. Beginning at a Black Oak on Thomas Jacobs corner on the line of a one hundred and thiry acre survey, from thence with the line of the same reversed, South thirty five degrees West - One hundred and twenty three poles to a post oake, thence West fifty poles to a pine thence West twenty two poles to a Black oake on the Two hundred acre line, thence north one hundred and seventy six poles to a stone, thence south forty two degrees East one hundred and four poles to a pine, on Thomas Jacobs line, thence South Seventy four degrees East with said line eighty four poles to the beginning, With all and singular the woods waters, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and all the estate right, title, claim and demand of him the said Samuel Jacobs his heirs and assigns forever of, in & to the same, and every part & parcel thereof, either in law or equity to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances unto the said Thomas Jacobs his heirs and assigns forever against all lawful claims of all & every person or persons whatever will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
