Alleged Service.  Volunteered and served  as a private in the Co. commanded by 
Capt. Churchman. Tenn. Mil. For about 6 months in 1813 (1814) and 1814 (1815).

13th Nov. 1814 to 18th May 1815"
Length of Service. Ninety Seven (97) days to 17th Feb 1815. Treaty of Peace
Proof of Identity.  Identifying witnesses. Samuel Jacobs, and John McGuire, in 
original declaration
Admitted October 31st, 1878, to a pension of Eight Dollars per month from 
March 9th 1878 the date of the act. No pension previously applied for.

SUMMARY OF PROOF
Marriage.  27th June 1827, of Benoney Kimbrough to Margaret Peggy Givens as 
alleged by the claimant and shown by certified copy of marriage license and of 
public record of marriage
Proof as to capacity to marry.  No legal barrier. The soldier's former wife 
died in March 1827. as alleged by the claimant and shown by testimony of Moses 
Steen
Death of Soldier.  Date 17th June 1856. Shown by the testimony of L. Newman 
and John W. Hampston who were present at his burial.
Widowhood.  Continuous. Not remarried shown by testimony of C.L. Newman and 
John W. Hampston, & Samuel Jacobs.
INCIDENTAL MATTER
Bounty Land Warrant issued to soldier Wt# 8791 for 80 acres-1855
Soldier signed B.L. claim Benona- clmt as Peggy, clmt alleges soldier died 
(xxx) (xxx) than proven.
