Archives. Polly may have died at some point as Philip marries Sarah MORRIS in 1836 also in Jefferson Co., TN. Philip and SARAH (MORRIS) TRAVIS, are my ggg-grandparents through their son David Tate TRAVIS. According to the 1850 & 1860 TN. census...Philip TRAVIS was born somewhere in VA. (Below is how the Bond and lisc. reads for the marriage of Polly and Philip TRAVIS. There may have been an even earlier wife as Philip is thought to be age 39 at THIS marriage...but so far I have not been able to find that information).
