Every effort was made to copy word for word and use spelling as found on the document IN the NAME of GOD AMEN I Edward George of the County of Jefferson and State of Tennessee being Sick and Weak in Body but Sound In Mind and Memory as Usual, do thank God, Calling Unto mind the mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is Appointed for all men once to die do Make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament That is to Say Princepally and first of all, I Give and Recommend my Soul Into the hand of Almighty God that give it and my Body I Recommend To the Earth to be buried in a Decent Christian burial at the Discretion of my Executrin, and as Touching Such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this Life I Give devise and Dispose of the Same in the following Manner and form, first, that my just debts and funeral Charges be first paid Secondly I give to my Son Siles George Two hundred Acres of Land in the Island, he giving Up the Deed that he has got for Land on the north Side of the River French Broad Thirdly I give to my daughter Rebekah Sellers and to my Son Edward George all of my Bottom Land to be Equally Divided Between them and two hundred Acres of Land to Said Edward George at the Sinking Spring, With Liberty of a road to pass and Repass to and from the Bottom the Remanider of my Plantatian on which I now Live to Said Rebekah Sellars. fourthly I give to my Son Samuel George two hundred acres of land Adjoining North East of the old place the Spring and Running Stream to be the Dividing line down to the Nobe I also give to Said Samuel George thirty seven acres of Land in the Island Adjoining Siles George's Land in Said Island Fifthly I give to my daughter Elizabeth McCollough the Sum of Seventy Pounds to be paid in trade at the Usual Rates of the Country with Reducing what she has Received out of Said Sum Sixethly I give to my daughter Amy Kerr the Sum of Seventy Pounds to be paid in trade at the Usual Rates of the Country with Reducing what she has Received out of Said Sum Seventhly I give to my daughter Martha Wallace the Sum of Seventy Pounds to be paid in trade at the Usual Rates of the Country with Reducing what she has Received out of Said Sum Eighthly and Lastly I Give Bequeath and Will to my Wife Martha George all my other Estate Real and Personal to be disposed of as she thinks proper at her Death As Also that all my land be Subject to her Maintainance and Support during her Natural Life, And I do Constitute and Appoint my Loving Wife Martha George my whole and Sole Executrix for This my Last Will and Testament and I do here by Worldy disallow revoke and Disannul all and Every other former Testaments, Wills, Legacies bequeaths and Executors by me in any Ways before Named.
