First I commend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my frineds & relations. And as to such worldly possessions and treatures as it has pleased kind providence to bless me with it is my will that the same shall be disposed of after my decease in manner following. First it is my will that all my just debts, if any, should be paid by my Executor as soon as can conveniently be done after my decease. Secondly it is my will that my beloved wife Margaret Hinshaw should have the whole & sole use of all my estate both real & personal during her widowhood for the purpose of her own support and for the support bringing up & education of our chidlren. And in case she should marry again, it is my will that she should then only have an equal part with one of the children of the moveable property. Item. I give & bequeth unto my son Uriah one third part of my land to be taken off at the lower end of the place whereon I now dwell. Item. I give & bequeth unto my son Ezra one third part of my land joining to Uriah's. Item. I give & bequeth unto my son William one third part of my land at the upper end joining Ezra's. And in case I should have another son born after this date, my will is that he should have an equal share of lands with my aforenamed three sons of the place whereon I now dwell that is one fourth part each. Item. I give & bequeth unto my three sons Uriah, Ezra and William and my five daughters namely Sarah Lee, Hannah, Mary, Ruth & Margaret Hinshaw all my moveable property each of them to have an equal part thereof at the marriage or decease of their mother. And in case I should have another child born after this date whether son or daughter, he or she to have an equal share with one of them. And whereas I expect to have more land than what is already mentioned in this will not yet obtained, which if it should by my will in that it should be sold to the best advantage & the money arising from the sale thereof among all my children to be equally divided, part and part alike. And lastly I ordain constitute and appoint my son Uriah Hinshaw and my friend Isaac Hammer Executors to this my last will & testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand & seal this 29th day of the 6th mo 1807.
