And first commend my soul to god who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent christian manner at the discretion of my friends and relations, and my hereafter named Executors. And as to such worldly possessions and treasures as it has pleased kind providence to bless me with it is my will to dispose of the same in the following manner. First - I will and bequeth unto my beloved wife Sarah Mills the whole & sole use of one half of my land & plantation and the free use of the water and wood on the same together with the house wherein we now dwell and one half of the orchard and all my household moveable property, together with all my livestock as horses, cattle, sheep, & hogs &c during her widowhood and in case she should marry again, my will is that she should have one third part of said moveable property. Secondly - I will & bequeth unto my son Zacharias Mills the one half of my land and plantation and the free use of the water and wood on the same with one half of the Orchard and the house wherein he now dwells and all my working tools to him his heirs and assigns forever. Thirdly, I will and bequeth unto my son Zacharias Mills the other half of my land and plantation with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging at the marriage or decease of his mother (excepting he will take due care of his said mother during her life or widowhod). I give to him his heirs and assigns forever. Fourthly, I will and bequeth unto my four sons namely Samuel, William, John & Zacharias Mills and my seven daughters namely Jane Davis, Sarah Swain, Abagail Mendenhall, Mary Smith, Alice Mendenhall, Lydia Morgan & Rachel Wiliams all my livestock and moveable property at the decease of their mother to be equally divided among them part & part alike. And lastly I ordain constitute and appoint my sons Samuel & John Mills Executors to this my last will and testament in witness wherof I hereunto set my hand & seal this seventh day of the ninth month 1809.
