Monk mdmonk@home.com ==================================================================== Will of JEREMIAH SHELLEY September 25, 1797 The last will and Testament of Jere-h Shelley 1 I gave my life to Death my boddy to the grave my soul to God who redeemed it through the precious blood of the Lam. 2 I will that all my lawful debts be justly paid. 3 That all the goods that is in the store at my desase be sold at Publick sale, the grain excepted, which I will that my dear and loving wife sell to the best advantage for herself and for our Children 4 I will that my Estate be equally divided between my dear and loving wife and my three little children except my little son Nathan which I will that he is maid a good rethmetick and mathimatical schollar out of the stock. 5 That the household property be not sold but the same be justly praised by 2 good men and left in the hands of my dear and loving wife to care for the use of my three little children during her widowhood. 6 I leave this my will to be executed by my worthy friend Alexander Campbell whom I join executer with my dear and loving wife Jean. Sind in the preasents of James Campbell Jere-h Shelly (seal) John Campbell Amerandom of the last will and testament of Jere-h Shelly thus is that Alexander Campbell together with my beloved, if they think fit shall sell the land that I own and lay the price of it out on land where it may sute best and thake this deed in my sons name, which shall be his share of my Estate my wife having her living of said land together with her bed and furniter and all my my other property to be eqully divided betwixt my two daughters all my just debts must be paid out of the land and other property except the cargo which I now have on board come back and if it was my debts must be paid out of that sum and the rest for the use of my family as they need it for their different use.
