Anderson Norman Ellis Anderson, 79, 136 Hyder Road, Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Johnson County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Alta Moody Anderson. Mr. Anderson had lived most of his life in Carter County and was a retired 50-year employee of North American Rayon Corporation. He was of the Free Will Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Wilma Taylor Anderson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Holly Anderson of Johnson City and Terry and Karen Anderson of Shady Valley; a daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Ben Barker of Elizabethton; two brothers, Jim Anderson of Granite Falls, N.C., and Arris Anderson of Mountain City; three sisters, Kathleen Arnold, Clara Lunceford and Edith Potter, all of Mountain City; and four grandchildren, Amber Barker, Candice Williams, Freddie and Brandon Anderson. Six great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Burleson and the Rev. Carroll Flanery officiating Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, will be Freddie Anderson, Brandon Anderson, Robert Gentry, Terry Taylor, Dave Barker, Lawrence Barker, James Whitehead and Frank Ellis. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the Carter County Rescue Squad, Amedisys Health Care and the ICU at Johnson City Medical Center.
