Hazel L. Cable 





    Hazel L. Cable, 93, formerly of Butler, went to be with the Lord on 

Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following a 

lengthy illness. 





    Mrs. Cable was a native of Butler and a daughter of the late Richard and 

Liza Gregg Watson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 

husband, Willie J. Cable, in 1985, and by a sister and four brothers. 





    Mrs. Cable was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church and was a homemaker. 

She was a very devoted Christian who was loved by everyone who knew her. 





    Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 





    The funeral service for Mrs. Cable will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, 

April 22, at Sugar Grove Baptist Church, Butler, with the Rev. Doug Ranshaw and 

the Rev. Ray Greene officiating. Music will be under the direction of Joel 

Norris and Raydon Markland. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Baptist 

Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. 

The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, 

prior to the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to the 

staff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton for their exceptional loving and 

devoted care of Hazel during her illness. Condolence messages may be sent to
