Dugger Mary Celia Dugger, 96, of Butler, died Saturday, September 17, 2005, at NHC Healthcare, Johnson City, after an extended illness. Mrs. Dugger was native of Johnson County and a daughter of the late John and Etta Burton Stanbery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Roger Dugger, in 1967, six brothers, Ruben, Audy, Willard, Hubert, Troy and John Stanbery; and a sister, Sylvania Harmon. Mrs. Dugger was a homemaker and a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Helen Hunt, Gray, Frances and James F. Cooper, Greensboro, N.C., and Barbara and Todd Leutholt, Flemington, N.J.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Patsy Dugger, Johnson City, and Cecil and Kathy Dugger, St. Simons Island, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Lizzie Stanbery, Irene Stanbery and Elsie Dugger; and two brothers-in-law, Everette Harmon and Haynes Dugger. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Dugger will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 19, at Memorial Funeral Chapel, Elizabethton, with the Rev. Chris Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Dugger Cemetery, Butler. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the staff of NHC Healthcare, Johnson City.
