JOHNSON COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - James E. Dugger, 4 Sep 2004 ----¤¤¤---- James E. Dugger, 64, Mack Branch Rd., Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 4, 2004 at his residence following a lengthy illness. A native of Johnson County, he was born April 6, 1940 to the late James and Bebe Swift Dugger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Jerald Dugger, Jonathan Dugger, Herbert Dugger, Eugene Dugger, and one son-in-law, Rusty Oliver. James worked many years on a mushroom farm. He loved hunting, fishing, and many other outdoor activities. Survivors include his wife, Janice Clark Dugger of the home; two daughters: Teresa McKinney, Mountain City, and Lisa Oliver, Mountain City; five sisters: Helen Dickens, Dawsonville, Ga.; Phyllis Nacarryer, Avondale, Penn.; Elsia Speackman, Chatman, Penn.; Marylee Gregg, Johnson City; Marylyn Owens, Fla.; two brothers: Dale Dugger, Stapon, Va.; David Dugger, Mountain City; one grandchild, Rusty J. McKinney, Mountain City; one great-grandchild, Savannah McKinney, Mountain City. Funeral Services for James E. Dugger will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Wilson to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Patty McKinney. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2004, from the Clark Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Clark, Jr., Tim Hodge, Bo Clark, Mack Proffitt, Mack Stout, Ed Gentry, and Chris Albery. Honorary pallbearers are Otis Marshall, Dayton Vanover, George McKinney, Bob Shoemaker, Roy Clark, and John Ethridge. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the funeral services. At other times, friends may call at the residence, 559 Mack Branch Rd., Mountain City, at any time. The family requests that friends attending the funeral services dress casually, as it was James' wish.
