Mr. Fritts was a native of Johnson County and was born August 29, 1914 to the late Wilburn and Callie Shull Fritts. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Fritts, who died in 1977, four brothers, Paul Fritts, Ray Fritts, Joe Fritts and Oscar Fritts, and a sister, Mae Stout. Mr. Fritts was a former Deacon and member of the Dyson Grove Baptist Church. He loved his woodworking. Survivors include three sisters, Goldie Ward, St. Paul, Va., Pat Johnson and Leona Sommerville, both of Detroit, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bill Shull and Jimmy Griffith. Funeral services for Mr. Fritts will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, from the Henson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce Simcox and Rev. Clyde Campbell officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, October 12, in the Dyson Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jerry Gastineau and the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
