Moody, 82, 185 Campbell Road, Butler, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2005, at Hermitage Health Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Moody was a native of Johnson County and a daughter of the late Carl V. and Lilly Snyder Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Baker. Mrs. Moody was a homemaker. She loved to cook, quilt and work in her garden. She was a member of Little Milligan Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Daigel B. Moody; a son, James V. Moody, Butler; two grandchildren, Michelle A. Crumley and her husband Jeffrey, Butler, and Michael V. Moody and his wife Sandra, Mountain City; five great- grandchildren, Dustin Crumley and his wife Amanda, Hampton, Corey, Dakota and Colton Crumley, all of Butler, and Mikayla Moody, Mountain City; two great- great-grandchildren, Gracie and Ryan Crumley, both of Hampton; two sisters, Louise Dugger, Mountain City, and Nell Powell, Chesapeake, Va.; a sister-in- law, Kathleen Baker, Mountain City; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Delmas and Georgia Moody, Venice, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Edith Moody, Elizabethton; a special neighbor, Mrs Beulah Rainbolt; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mary Lee English, Ruby Hatley and Barbara Matheson, all of Elizabethton, and Frances Smith, Mountain City. Cecil "Nick" Bradshaw and Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, in the Lakeview Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, will be Michael Moody, Dustin Crumley, Corey Crumley, Jeff Crumley, Bobby "Buzz" White, James M. Moody, Glen Shaw and Dennis Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Campbell, Dan Campbell, Joe Campbell, Doug Hatley, Daigel Shaw, Tim Lawson, the staff and employees of Hermitage Health Center, the employees of Summers Hardware, Johnson City, Dr. Robert Walter and members of Little Milligan Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a granddaughter and her husband, Michelle and Jeff Crumley, 200 Campbell Road, Butler.
