Mr. Reid was the son of the late Noah and Ida Lou Fritts Reid. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Fred and Homer Reid and was a member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, where he was serving as trustee. Mr. Reid was a retired farmer and merchant. Survivors are wife, Mrs. Hazel Davidson Reid of the home; two daughters, Janice Reid Eastridge and husband Ralph, Mountain City, and Betty Ann Davis and husband Glen, Mountain City; one son, Terry Reid and wife Norma, Mountain City; three grandchildren, Jerry Lynn Minks, Wendy Michelle Reid and Michael Reid; two nieces; and three nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, from the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, with Rev. Steven McCready and Rev. RJ Cullop to officiate. Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel or may call at the residence at any time.
