JOHNSON COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Dana B. Stout, 11 Nov 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Dana B. Stout Dana B. Stout, age 81, of R.D. Campbell Road, Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the Johnson County Health Center following an extended illness. A native of Johnson County, he was born on November 11, 1922 to the late John M. "Sunny Man" and Minnie Bowman Stout. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virgia Walsh Stout; three sisters, Bessie Potter, Martha Coffey and Carrie Stout, and two brothers, Bob Stout and Will Stout. Dana was retired from Maymead and a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. Dana is survived by one daughter, Brenda Guinn, and husband, James, of Mountain City; three sons, Blaine Stout and wife, Judy; Wayne Stout and wife, Brenda, and Carroll Stout, all of Butler; four grandchildren, Sue Stout and husband, Gary; and Robert Stout, all of Butler; Jimmy Stout and wife, Rebecca, of Newton, N.C., and Rebecca Stout, of Creston, N.C.; three great grandchildren, Hayley Smith, of Creston, N.C.; Jordan Stout and Miranda Stout, both of Butler, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dana B. Stout will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2003 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Wilson, Rev. Brooks Peters and Brother Mike Swift officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Rock Springs Baptist Church Choir. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. prior to services. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2003 from the Rock Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Gary Stout, Jim Fritts, Doug Arney, Jimmy Stout, Blaine Branch, Jim Gentry and Robert Stout. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Arnold, Bob Cable, Walt Courtner, Lloyd Courtner, R.D. Campbell, Oliver Netherly and the Johnson County Rescue Squad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee. Friends may also call at the residence of Wayne Stout, 900 R.D. Campbell Road, Butler, Tennessee. Pallbearers, ministers, friends and family are asked to meet at 9:45 a.m. Friday at the Rock Springs Cemetery.
