Born June 13, 1932, in Butler, Tenn., she grew up on a tobacco farm in the mountains of Butler. She was the daughter of the late W. Haskell Stout and Lona M. Andies. Dee was from the graduating class of 1951 at Hampton High School in Hampton, Tenn. She served for two years in the United States Air Force after high school, and went on to graduate from Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn., where she received her Bachelor of English degree and a minor in History. Dee taught English and History at Fred Lyn Middle School in Woodbridge from 1963 to 1968. She went on to teach on an English/History team of teachers at Graham Park Middle School in Dumfries, Va., from 1970 until 1991. In 1964 she met and married Edgar Tucker, Dale City area of Woodbridge. Dee is the Mother of one and the Grandmother of five. She retired in 1991 with 28 years of service in the Prince William County School System. She was a member of the Prince William County Chapter of the Retired Teacher's Association. She was a member and supporter of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Woodbridge for 45 years, and enjoyed membership of the Bethany Class of Saint Paul. She served on the board at various times as a member of St. Paul. Survivors include one daughter, Penny Tucker Clark of Virginia; son-in- law, Matthew A. "Matt" Clark of Virginia; five grandchildren, Sage L. Clark, Carly B. Clark, Matthew "Aaron" Clark II, Zoë G. Clark and Tiger C. Clark, all of Virginia; four sisters, Margery Stout Church of Poga, Tenn., Dorothy Stout of Butler, Tenn., Joy Stout Pennington of Louisville, Ky., and Sandy Stout Miller of Chucky, Tenn.; and two brothers, William "Bill" Stout and Donald "Don" Stout. Four nieces, three nephews and 15 great-nieces and great- nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Mount Castle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City/Woodbridge. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1400 G Street, Woodbridge. Interment will be held at Amherst Cemetery, Amherst, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, Bethany Class, 1400 G Street, Woodbridge, Va.
