Bishop & other Trustees For the love and affection I entertain for the worship of Almighty God, and for the Missionary Baptist Church of Christ, I do hereby give, transfer, and convey to Elijah Bishop, William L Copeland and T. C. Wood as Trustees and their successors in office forever. When a vacancy in said Trustees occurs by resignation, removals or death, the church to be know as Sharon Church and said church shall fill said vacancies by electing a suitable person to fill said vacancy, I convey to them as Trustees a parcel of land in Knox County Tennessee District No. 8 containing one acre and twenty six square poles be the same more or less bounded as follows. Beginning at a rock and two small Black oaks as -------in the edge of the Knoxville & Jacksborough road then N 44 E 7 poles to a rock, then N 44 W 24 8/4 poles to a black oak, then N 74 W 2 8/4 poles to a black gum S 44 W 5 poles & 15 links to a rock in the edge of said road, thence with same a direct line to the Beginning. Said parcel of land is - to be for the use of a Baptist Church and public grave yard, all political and secular meetings bared said house to be subject to the use of otherdenominations under the control of said Trustees, said house to - built and completed within two years or otherwise the deed to be null and void. I William L. Copland give and in this deed convey the rightaway or give full access to the mill Known Copeland Spring for the use of all Worshiping assemblies for drinking water and for no other purpose. Said lot or parcel of land to be fenced on or before the time said house is to be finished in manner and form as agreed upon by the parties. Said tract or parcel of land to have and to hold the same to the said Trustees and their successors forever. I covenant and agree for myself and heirs to warrant and forever defend the title to the said tract of land to the said Elijah Bishop, William L. Copeland & T. C. Wood as a Board of Trustees and their successors against the lawful claim of all persons whatsoever, this August 18th, 1881. James F. Brown William L.
