Weaver This indenture made this 7th day of July year of our Lord 1875 between J. L. Brown of the county of Knox and State of Tennessee party of the first part G W Weaver and Charles W Weaver of same party of the second part. Witnesseth that the party of the first part and in consideration of the sum of two thousand dollars to him in hand paid by the party of the second part the receipt thereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged doth by these presents Grant, Bargain, Sell Remise Release and Confirm unto said party of the second part and the their heirs and assignees forever a certain tract or parcel of land situated in the County of Knox and State of Tennessee adjoining the lands of the heirs of Joshua Brown, deceased, William Brown and others and bounded as follows. Beginning in the center of Beaver Creek one pole S of a large sycamore corner on the land of the heirs of Joshua Brown, deceased, thence S 45 E 76 poles to a poplar corner of said Joshua Brown's heirs thence N 56 E 21 poles to a rock thence S 45 E 53 poles to a rock set in the ground thence S 42 E 15 poles to a fallen whiteoak thence S 2 E 27 poles to a hickory on the N side of Beaver Ridge thence S 7 E 48 poles to a walnut on the top of said ridge spanish oak pointer thence N 58 E with the top of said ridge 62 poles to a Blackoak thence N 28 W -----poles to a rock set in the ground thence N 28 E 12 poles to a rock set in the ground thence N 42 W 27 poles to the center of Beaver Creek a Buck Pointer thence N 28 W with the meanderings of said creek 75 poles to sweet gum on the bank of said creek thence N 36 E 15 poles to a rock thence N 15 W 29 poles to a Black gum in Oliver Mynatt's line thence W 14 poles to a pine thence S 10 E 25 poles to a Whiteoak on the Bank of said creek thence SW with the meanderings of said creek to the Beginning containing 80 acres more or less which tract or parcel of land together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold said Premises as described with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part to their heirs and assignees forever and the said party of the first his heirs executors administrators and assignees doth covenant grant bargain and agree to with the said party of the second part their heirs and assignees that at the time of the ensealing and delivery of these ------he was well seized of the above granted premises in fee simple that they are free from all encumbrances whatever and that he will and his heirs executor and administrators and assignees shall warranty and defend the same against all lawful claims whatsoever.
