This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Carol Brown Key CKey558122@aol.com ==================================================================== Joshua Brown Patsy Brown & heirs of John Brown 150 acres on Beaver Creek This indenture made this fourth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight and twenty between Joshua Brown of the county of Knox & state of Tennessee of the one part and the widow Patsy Brown, the widow of John Brown deceased and John Brown heirs of aforesaid county on the other part henceforth that the said Joshua Brown for and in the consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by these presents doth grant bargain sell relieve insoforth and confirm unto the said widow Brown & John Brown heirs and assignees forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Knox on the waters of Beaver Creek containing one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less. Beginning a white oak and running north thirty eight degrees west one hundred and twelve poles to a stake corner to Samuel and Thomas Fraziers land then along Thomas Fraziers line north sixty degrees west one hundred thirty four poles to a stake near a marked white oak thence south twenty four east thirty nine poles to a sycamore corner to Robert Smith's land thence south forty five east to a popular thence south fifty degrees West to a stake then to the beginning. with all singular the wood ----water covered profits commodities hence-------- & appertnenuances to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining to the --------------unto and issues thereof and all the estate rights title property claim and ------- of him the said Joshua Brown his heirs and assignees forever of in and to the same and every part thereof either in law or --------to have and to hold the said tract of land with the appurtertenances use to the widow and John Brown heirs and assignees forever against the lawful claim or demand of all every person or persons whatsoever will warrant and forever defend by their presents, ----------- Joshua Brown -----William B.
