This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Carol Brown Key CKey558122@aol.com ==================================================================== Deed of Conveyance Wm Brown to John Brown This indenture made this fourth day of March in the year one thousand and eight hundred and thirty between William Brown of the county of Knox and State of Tennessee of the one part and John Brown of the county and state aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said William Brown for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth grant bargain and sold .......and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell ......and confirm unto the said John Brown his heirs and assignees forever a certain tract or parcel of lying and being in the district south of Holston & French Broad being the tract whereof the said William Brown now lives beginning on a chestnut on Anderson’s line south forty degrees east forty eight chains to a black oak, thence south twenty degrees east twenty nine chains to a post oak thence south fifty seven degrees west twenty seven chains to a hickory, thence south forty six degrees west thirteen chains to a stake, thence north sixteen degrees west twenty chains to a stake, thence north thirty eight degrees east sixty five chains to the beginning. Containing one hundred and twenty three acres together with all and singular the improvements woods ways waters watercourses rights liberties privileges herewith belonging or in any wise appertaining and .....and remainder rents issues and proffitts thereof and all the estate rights title property interest and demand of him the said William Brown his heirs and assignees forever in and to the same and every part or parcel thereof either in law or equity to have and to hold the tract or parcel of land with the appertainences with unto the said John Brown his heirs and assignees forever against the lawful title claim and demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever will and by these presents with warrant and forever defend....... whereof the William Brown hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above mentioned.
