KNOX COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - Robert Smith to William Brown, 39 ½ acres

Deed of Conveyance 

	This indenture made this 26th day of August 1834 between Robert Smith 
of the county of Knox and state of Tennessee of the one part and William Brown 
of the county and state aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said 
Robert Smith for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirty
seven dollars to him in hand the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hat 
bargained and sold and by these presents doth convey and confirm to the said 
William Brown, his heirs and assignees for a certain tract of land situated in 
the county of Knox bounded as follows: beginning on a white oak thence north 
ten degrees east twenty nine poles to a stake thence north ten degrees west 
twelve poles to two small ash saplings thence south seventy six degrees west 
thirty poles to a stake thence south fourteen east thirty eight poles to a
persimmon bush thence south seventy five west fifty two poles to a small 
hickory sapling thence south fifteen west eighteen poles to a black gum 
sapling thence west sixteen poles to a pine thence south ten west twenty eight 
poles to a stake in the creek thence north fifty five east fifty six poles to 
a stake on the bank of Beaver Creek thence north forty eight west thirty five 
poles to a black oak stump thence to the beginning continuing thirty nine and 
a half acres tract of land together with the heriditaments and appertainences
thereto belonging the said Robert Smith for himself and his heirs unto the 
said William Brown his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend 
against lawful claim of all and every persons by these presents as an
indefeasable right inheiritence in fee simple in testimony whereof the said 
Robert Smith has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above 
written.
