State of Tennessee Knox County By virtue of an entery in the entery takers office of said county for 200 acres of land of no 1147 bareing date the 8 day of July 1855 and in the name of William Dunlap and in civil Dis. No. 15 and on the south side side of Frenchbroad river joining the land of Samuel Bowman Jerry Jonson and others I have surveyed for the said William Dunlap 159 acres of land beginning at a post oak Jerry Jonsons corner, thence N 27 degrees W 42 poles to a pine thence N 45 degrees E 50 poles to a pine then N 33 degrees E 52 poles to a hickory on Samuel Bowman's line then S 51 W 44 poles to a sassafras then N 30 W 42 pole to a pine popular and gum thence S 52 degrees W 80 poles to too small (---?)thence S 30 degrees E 62 poles to too pines thence S 63 degrees W 74 poles to a pine thence S 38 poles to a pine thence W 15 poles to a hickory S 70 poles to too post oaks S 45 degrees E 86 poles to Kenedys line thence with his line N 65 degrees E 130 poles to Jonsons line thence with the same S 85 degrees W 30 poles to a white oak thence to the beginning. McNutt The State of Tennessee To all to whom these presents shall come; Greetings: Know ye, that in consideration of an Entry made in the Entry Takers Office of Knox County, OF NO. 1147 dated the 8th day of January, 1850, by William Dunlap - there is GRANTED by the State of Tennessee unto the said William Dunlap and his heirs a certain TRACT OF LAND, containing One hundred and fifty-nine Acres, lying in the county aforesaid in District No. 15: Joining the land of Samuel Bowman & others - Beginning at a postoak on top of a ridge Jerry Johnson's corner; then north twenty-seven west forty-two poles to a pine, then north forty-five east fifty-one poles to a pine, north thirty-three east fifty-two poles to a hickory on said Bowman's line, then with the same south fifty-one west forty-four poles to a sassafras, north thirty west forty-two poles to a pine, poplar, & gum, south fifty-two west eighty poles to two small postoaks on a ridge, south thirty east sixty-two pol es to two pines, west fifteen poles to a hickory, south seventy poles to two postoaks on a ridge, south forty-five east eighty-six poles to Wm. S. Kennedy's line, with the same north forty-eight east one hundred and thirty poles to Jerry Johnson's line, with the same south eighty-five west thirty poles to a whiteoak then a direct line to the beginning, surveyed 26th December 1850, with its appurtences, to HAVE and to HOLD the said TRACT or PARCEL of LAND, with its appurtenances, to the said William Dunlap and his heirs forever.
