Kennedy to W.C. Dunlap This endenture made this 1st day of January, 1869, between W.S. Kennedy of one part and W.C. Dunlap of the other part, all of the County of Knox and State of Tennessee, witnesseth that the said W.S. Kennedy for and in consideration of one hundred and fifty-seven dollars and fifty cents to him in hand paid the receipt of which is acknowledged has bargained and sold to the said W.C. Dunlap, his heirs & assigns forever a certain lot of land situated in east Knoxville on the east side of first creek and immediately north of a lot of land belonging to Daniel Crawly and bounded as follows: viz Beginning on the northeast corner of said Crawly lot between said lot and a lot owned by J.S. Vangilder, thence with said Crawly lot in a westerly direction one hundred and forty-five feet to a stake, thence in a northerly direction and parallel with the acres before mentioned twenty-one feet to a stake, thence in an easterly direction and parallel with the first mentioned one hundred and forty-five feet to said ---------, thence with said ------------ twenty-one feet to the beginning.
