Dotson } and seventy seven 1877, agreed and conveyed to -----------------------} each other our devided interests that we have in a certain tract of land belonging to William Dunlap Dec'd , it being in the County of Knox and State of Tennessee and District No. 15 and adjoining the lands of Isaac Hines heirs, Jacob Swaggerty, Catherine Galyean, Theo Brown, Ashley Johnson, G.W. Wilhite, Adline Swaggerty & Co. about two miles west of the mouth of Gap Creek No. 1 First Division Jacob Swaggerty, it being on the west end of the said tract of land containing by estimation ten acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows (viz) Beginning on a stake on Adeline Swaggerty's line thence in a Westerly Direction with the said line 17 1/2 po to a post oak Isaac Hines heirs line thence South 45 east 86 poles to a chestnut J. Swaggertys line with the same North forty eight east 17 1/2 poles to a dogwood thence directly to the beginning No. 2 Second Division Margaret Myres containing by estimation 12 twelve acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows (viz) Beginning on a stake on Adline Swaggertys line thence in a Westerly direction and with the said line 21 1/2 po to a stake the Beginning of first 49 (this is written above the 45 for a reason unknown to this transcriber) division thence with the same south 45 east 86 poles to to a dogwood on J. Swaggertys line with the same north 48 east 21 1/2 poles to a stake thence directly to the Beginning. No. 3 third Devision W.C. Dunlaps containing by estimation twenty acres Be the same more or less and bounded as follows to (viz)/Beginning on a stake on Adline Swaggertys line thence with the same in a westerly Direction 35 poles to a stake the Beginning of Second Division thence with line of second Division South 45 east 86 poles to a stake on J. Swaggertys line then with the same north 48 east 35 poles to a stake thence to the Beginning. No. 4 fourth Division Wm.T. Dotson's containing by estimation twenty acres Be the same more or less and Bounded as follows (viz) Begining on a stake G.W. Wilhite line thence with the same in a westerly direction 35 poles to a stake the Begining of third devission thence with the same South 45 east poles to a stake on Catherine Galyeans line with the same north 48 east 60 poles to Ashley Johnsons line with the same south eighty five west 30 poles to a White oak thence to the Beginning. No . 5 fifth devission Elizabeth J. Dotsons containing by estimation 12 acres Be the same more or less Bounded as follows (viz) Begining on a post oak A.M. Galyean and G.W. Wilhite, corner thence with the said Wilhite line in a westerly Direction 34 poles to a white oak thence a Southerly direction 10 poles to a pine thence in a westerly Direction 17 poles to a stake the Begining of fourth Divission W.T. Dotsons line thence a south easterly Direction and with said Dotsons line poles to a white oak thence to the Begining. Now we the undersigned obligate our selves our heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the title to each other and furthermore we Bind and oblicate our selves our heirs and assigns forever to give a space of twelve feet a long the line of Jacob Swaggerty Catherine Galyean and Thomas Brown for Road or outlet clear of Rails posts or other obstructions of are that we will not obstruct or cause to be obstructed forever. Lewis Clerk of the County Court of said County Jane Dotson John Mires & wife Margaret Mires the within named Bargainors with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledge that they executed the within instrument for the purposes therein contained. And Margaret Mires wife of the said John Mires having appeared before me privately and apart from her husband the said Margaret Mires acknowledged the execution of the said Deed to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly, without compulsion or constraint from her said husband, and for the purposes therein expressed.
