That the said Perry for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath and doth bargain, sell, align, and convey unto the said John Major or his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing eighty three acres lying in the county of Knox and the state aforesaid on the waters of Beaver Creek beginning on Shells line thence south 45 degrees west with Donalsons line to the line of Joseph Givens one hundred and 70 poles to a stake near a ? dogwood and black oak thence with said Givens line south 45 degrees east 50 poles to a stake on the side of the ridge thence with said ridge north 40 -----too dark to read at bottom of page --- seventy four poles to a stake thence south 45 degrees east to a stake thence north 45 degrees ..
