Co. to Martin Frazier of county & state afsd - whereas Saml Widner & Alza Widner are indebted to Wm. Widner for $300 by note dated 3 September 1846 for 3 yrs, in trust 860 acres in Sevier County on waters of Dumplin being a tract of land Hugh Henry possessed by will of said Hugh Henry decd each heir to have 1/8 of foregoing property. Witness John Widner, John (x) Waters. The Settlement of the Estate Reads: (Deed Book H. , P. 447-448 , Office Register of Deeds , Sevier County , Tennessee) "Know all men by these presents that we the undersign, heirs of Hugh Henry , Sr. , deed by his last Will and Testament to save expense and various other reasons do covenant and agreed and first it is agreed that the land named in "P" will is worth twenty-five hundred dollars. Two hundred and fifty dollars each heirs share of the lands. It is further agreed that Lee and Thomas Henry and Ephriam Johnson keep the land and pay the other heirs their share in "P" lands. It is further agreed agreeable to "P" Will that the widow keep the Mansion House with her household and kitchen furniture during her widowhood of this "P". Lee and Thomas Henry and Ephriam Johnson agrees to give her ample support in the necessaries of life during "P" time. We also agree that the personal property out of doors and on other farms remain with the widow to settle any contingency that is now pending or may arise. We also agree and divide the slaves belonging to "P" Estate in the following manner and born and first Samuel and Alziry WIDENER take Reese at six hundred and fifty dollars; Isaac HENRY takes Dinner valued at seven hundred dollars; John DOUGLASS, guardian of the heirs Albert HENRY deceased takes Polly valued at four hundred dollars; James and Mary DOUGLASS take Dice valued at three hundred and fifty dollars, also Steward valued to be worth five hundred and twenty-five dollars. Patrick HENRY takes Allen valued to be worth at one hundred and seventy-five dollars. Lea HENRY, guardian of the heir of Elizabeth HENRY, deceased takes Jerry valued at five hundred and twenty-five dollars. Lee Henry takes Ruth valued at three hundred dollars. Pleasant Henry takes Phoebe valued at seven hundred dollars. Thomas Henry takes Mandy valued at four hundred dollars. Ephraim and Rachael Johnson takes Nancy worth four hundred dollars. And for the true performance of the above agreement and covenent we bind ourselves, our heirs and representatives one unto the other in the sum of fifteen hundred dollars, each given under our hands and seals this Ninth day of October 1849. Trundle by these presents bargained, sold, transferred, conveyed, and delivered to said William Widener his heirs, Executors, administrators, and assigns a certain negro boy of a black color, a slave for life by the name of Elias and not exceeding fourteen years of age who is sound healthy and sensible, to have and to hold the said negro boy Elias to the said William Widener his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns forever from the said Daniel S.Trundle his heirs, Executors, and administrators and all & every other person. The title, age, health, and sense of the said negro boy Elias, the said Daniel S. Trundle will warrant & forever defend his witness whereof the said Daniel S.
