Charles application was filed July 26,1890. Rebecca is Charles' second wife. 
His first wife Mary died December 7,1880. He married Rebecca Martin on 
November 2,1882 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Charles list his Children as Henry 
Marcus, Joseph, Margaret Anna ,Sarah Jane, Charles, and Sophronia. Charles was 
born in Zell, Germany. He is listed as being 5' 2" high, dark complexion, dark 
eyes, and dark hair. His occupation before enlistment was a weaver.
Charles received $8.00 a month from July 26,1890 to December 4,1891. It then 
went up to $10.00 per month at that time. His pension was for a hernia. On 
July 29,1896 his pension was increased to $ 12.00 a month because of the 
hernia and senile debility. Charles died November 19,1904.
Rebecca's pension was for $8.00 a month commencing on December 1,1904. She  
was dropped from the pension rolls on September 21,1920. Her last payment was 
on May 4,1920. The check dated August 4,1920 was returned to the pension 
office. No death date was given for Rebecca Ott.
