Contributor's Note:  My 4g-grandfather, Curd Cox, owned a 400 acre farm in 
north Knox County, near the present day intersection of Pedigo & Bull Run 
Valley Roads.   I am descended through his son, Moses, who also is mentioned 
in this old record.  Note that this probate continued a # of years after 
Curd's death in Nov. 1853. 

This is part of the Knox Co. probate for the Curd Cox will (administrative 
settlement-Nov. Term 1859) and is where I found mention of a man named 
Charles CURD.  This is the individual I was wondering about, as a possible 
relative to old Curd.  Charles Curd shows up in the 1826 Knox Co. Tax List 
(Capt. Graves Co. ) w/200 acres & 3 slaves.  Perhaps he may have been related 
to old Curd's mother ?  Could  that explain why Curd had a rather uncommon 
given name.-  like SMITH Major  ?
 
 BTW, There are no decimals in this old document.  Mostly Curd's sons & 
sons-in-law ?
