Fraker considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say- First, I will that there shall be sold as much of my property as will satisfy my debts- Second, I give to my beloved wife Elizabeth Jane my land during her widowhood or until my oldest son W. H. Fraker (Wm. H. Fraker) becomes of lawful age at which time, I give to my son W. H. Fraker one third of my land-also at the lawful age of George Washington Fraker my youngest son, I give one third of my land at the lawful age of Mary Elizabeth, I give her one third of my land also. My above named children is to hold and to have the use of the land but not the right to sell during their mothers lifetime. I also bind them and the land for their Mother maintainence-I also appoint Phillip Karns and my wife Elizabeth Jane my Executors of this my last will and testament. I advise these my executors to cultivate the land by hiring hands and not renting. I also advise to keep one third of the land in clover all the time. My will is that my children be schooled from the harvest of the land that may be over and above a support of the family. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty sixth day of November 1861. Howell B. Fraker The above instrument was subscribed by Howell B. Fraker the testator in the presence of each of us and was at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament and we at his request sign our names hereto as attesting witnesses. Alexander Bishop of Knox County William R. Redden of Knox County Court records show a letter of administration was sent to Phillip Karns and Elizabeth J. Fraker the 1st Monday of October 1862.
