The children of 3g-grandparents Stephen Renfro, III (b. 1790) & Eleanor Christer/Renfro and the children of their son James Renfro (b. 1821) & wife Sarah Brown/Renfro both shared the initials of the children in the following will for Sarah Renfro; also both these families had a son named Robert. We are doing further research in an attempt to confirm whether the will is for Eleanor Christer/Renfro as thought earlier or for her daughter-in-law, Sarah Brown/Renfro. Since we haven't found the document(s) which conclusively prove Eleanor's 1st name was Sarah, the will title should simply say Sarah Renfro for now. It's looking more likely that the will is for Sarah Brown/Renfro. Any input from other Renfro descendants regarding this are welcomed. Note that on Friday Morning August 12, 1892 Sam A. Rodgers was named as Executor of her will in the court proceedings. However, by September Term of the Court, grandson Newton Renfro is named as the Administrator of Sarah Renfro. The following is a summary of the probate & disposition of her property. ------------------------------------ September Term 1895 Newton Renfro Settlement with Newton Renfro Admir. of Sarah Renfro Administrator Div To Amt received from money on hand at time of death of Sarah Renfro and sale of personalty (about $35.00) Total 364.19 Administrator Cr: By Pd.
