STATE OF TENNESSEE LAUDERDALE COUNTY KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we,WARDLAW STEELE and B.F.FISHER for and in consideration of the sum of $3500.00 to paid in hand the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to WILLIAM M.NELSON a certain tract of land,situated,lying and being in the 5th civil district of Lauderdale County and being a part of a tract of 356 1/4 acres conveyed to us by H.S.BILLINGS by his deed registered in the Register's office of said County in Book "ZZ" pg 564 to which reference is here made.The tract here conveyed is bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at an Iron Stake,the south east off-set corner of the original 365 1/4/acre tract of which this is a part,same being in JOHN CONNER Sr's west line-thencewest 91 poles with JOHN CONNER Sr's north line to an Iron State,same being a cornerof said 365 1/4 acre tract and a corner of said CONNER tract-- thence south with said CONNER's west line 18 poles to an Iron Stake--thence west 74 9/10 poles to a iron stake,in JOHN CONNER Jr's east line,thornbush and 2 hackleberry pointers-thence north 110 poles to a boxelder in JOHN CONNER Jr's east line-thenve east 165 9/10 poles to an iron stake in JOHN CONNER's west line,honey locust,persimon and ash pointers-thence south with said CONNER's west line 92 poles to the begining.Containing 103 1/2 acres be the same more or less. T have and to hold said tract of land to the said W.M.NELSON his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple.And we covenant to and with said NELSON that we are well seized and possessed of said land; that we have a good and lawful right to convey it; that it is uncumbered except deed of trust to ROY who joins herein to release his trust; and that we will warrant and forever defend the title to said tract of land against the lawful claims of all person whatever.
