LAUDERDALE COUNTY ENTERPRISE RIPLEY,TENNESSEE APRIL 17,1997 D.W.DANIELS--of 4836 Lightfoot-Luckett Road,Ripley,was dead on arrival at Baptist Hospital- Lauderdale,early Sunday morning.When he did not come home late Saturday,his family suspected something was wrong.His truck was found empty near Ashport stuck in a washout,tracks lead to Mounds Sunk Lake Road.Searchers found his body outside a shed at the old Mills abandoned farm house north of his truck.Authorities report that it was 34 degrees with a wind chill factor of 20 degrees and MR.DANIELS had walked more than three miles without a jacket.His cane was found with him.The sheriff's department reported that weather was a big factor in his death.Services were at 4 p.m.Tuesday in Yarbrough Funeral Home,with burial in Mt.Pleasant Cemetery.
