Dorothy Ford Ferlic, 75, a resident of Park Ridge since 1941 died October 4, 1997 in Highland Park Hospital. Mrs. Ferlic was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who was first assistant state's attorney from 1952-60 under John Gutnect and Benjamin Adamowski, and her daughter, Judith Loboy. She is survived by four children, Barbara (Mrs. Bruce Allen Buck), Donald Ferlic, M. D., (wife, Sharon Stetzer), Joyce Ferlic (Mrs. William O'Keefe), and David Ferlic, Ed.D. (wife, Patricia), and 17 grandchildren: Steven Buck, Kathy Buck, Laura Buck, Constance Buck, Michael Buck and Martin James Buck; Suzanne Ferlic and Matthew Ferlic; William O'Keefe the third, Paul O'Keefe, Moira O'Keefe and Christopher O'Keefe; Colleen Loboy, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of Charles W. Ford and Lillias Gertrude Martin Ford, and the granddaughter of Eli Martin and Ellen Louise Williams Martin of Lauderdale County, Tennessee, and a niece of the late Beulah Zebulon Martin Blythe of Blytheville, Arkansas, the late Albertha Williams Martin Cheatham of Shreveport, Louisiana, the late Eli Van Louis Martin of Hollywood, California, and the late Miss Juanita Martin of Washington, D. C. The Martin family were early pioneers and long time residents of Lauderdale County. A funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery. Vivitation was held at the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, Park Ridge. Mrs. Ferlic was an active member of Friends of American Writers, Park Ridge League of Women Voters, the 20th Century Club, and the Catholic Women's Club. She was a great lover of the opera.
