I, I.A.WEBB of Lauderdale County in the State of Tennessee being of sound and disposing mind,memory,and understanding,do make,publish and declare this to be my last will and testament,hereby revoking and making null and void all former last wills and testaments,and writings in the nature of last wills and testaments by me heretofore made. My will is,First---that my funeral expenses and just debts shall be paid by by executor hereinafter named.The residue of my estate and property which shall not be required for the payment of my just debts,funeral charges and the expenses attending the execution of this my will,and the administration of my estate,I give,devise,and dispose thereof as follows.TO WIT; To my children,WILLIAM M.WEBB, DRUCILLA C.THOMPSON,wife of WM.R.THOMPSON, JAMES A.WEBB, JOHN M.WEBB and ABEL I.WEBB; each one an equal shair of my estate consisting of real and personal property. My real estate consists in a tract of land of two hundred and fifty acres (250) lying in the State of Tennessee and County of Lauderdale in the 5th civil district thereof and bounded as follows--on the north by the lands of ___ HAMILTON on the west by land belonging to I.S.KELLARs Est and on the south by lands of I.S.KELLER estate and on east by lands of the estate of I.S.KELLER. The same being a part of the land purchased by I.A.WEBB of JOS.H.WORDLAW and the remainder of J.A.FOLTS. And owing to the condition in which said tract of land is situated I desire that as soon after my death as is practiable for my executor to sell said tract of land herein described on the following terms,To Wit.one third to be paid cash and ballance in one and two years with approved notes and securities,and a lien retained on land until purchase money is paid in full,with interest,and I further desire that my executor,after he has sold said land to divide all moneys which he receives or may come into his hands equally between my five children,heretofore named in this my will. And I further desire that my personal property,consisting of Household and Kitchen furniture,Horses,Cattle,sheep and Hogs be the same and equally divided between the above named children,except youngest two,JOHN M.WEBB and ABEL I.WEBB,each of whom I desire to have one hundred and twenty ($120) Dollars more than the other older ones having already given older children Horses,Beds & c. And I further desire that in the event my own children die leaveing no bodily heirs that their ahare of my estate returns to my own children living and in case oftheir decease to their bodily heirs. And I do nominate and appoint my Son-in-law,WM.R.THOMPSON to be my sole executor of my last will and testament and in event of his decease that A.J.MEADOWS Esq.,act in his ____& stead.
