This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb by transcribed by Sarah Hutcherson <> ===================================================================== WILL OF DOCTOR JOHN J.NELSON SEPTEMBER THE 23RD A.D.1852 THE NU----UPATIVE WILL OF DOCTOR JOHN J.NELSON made in his last illness or sickness: FIRST: I,J.J.NELSON will and bequeath to my wife NARCISSA NELSON my two negroes HUGH and CHANY and their children forever,subject however to the following condition--should she my wife die without leaving children surviving her,then in that event I will and bequeath at the death of my said wife said negroes become the property of the children of the children of my brother DR.ROBERT E.NELSON. 2ND;The negros given me by my wife's Father,MR.HIRAM PARTEE I will and bequeath to my wife forever unconditionally. 3RD; The debts due me and those yet to become due me of every discription whatever I will and bequeath to my wife. 4TH; I will and bequeath to my wife all my personal property of every discription not otherwise herein dispose of. 5TH; The proceeds of my growing cotton crop I will and bequeath first to the payments of my debts and should there be a remainder thereafter I will and bequeath that the same be paid to my Father's estate with the negros put into my possession by my Father I will and bequeath back to his estate.
